Easter 2010

We had a great Easter!  My parents came over for the weekend so we celebrated Emmie's birthday and Easter.  We got up Sunday morning, got ready for church, went to church.  After church we headed to Courtney and Ryans for some good food and family!  The kids did there Easter baskets and an egg hunt-they had a blast.  Cody went on a big Easter egg hunt with a friend (our neighbors too!) and came home with a basket FULL of candy-since when did Easter turn into Halloween??  And, we had a good laugh-when he got home my parents where here so he was excited to share where he had been and how much fun it was and then he said, "before we left to come home we had to recycle the eggs, we could only keep the good stuff inside!"  to that, my dad said, "yup, we are in Seattle!"

Monkey turns 3!!

Our little monkey turns 3 tomorrow (April 7th!).  We celebrated her birthday on saturday the 3rd with just family and a few close friends.  We had pulled pork sandwiches, beans, blue cheese coleslaw, fruit, macaroni salads and of course cake and ice cream!  We had a great time-I just can't believe how fast the time goes when you have kids.  She is an awesome little girl-such a great personality!!  She loves her daddy and is quite the little diva, she knows she is the princess of the family!  She gets smarter and smarter by the day and loves to sit at the table with her brother and do her "homework".

She has her 3 year check up next week so I will post her stats!

She sang happy birthday to herself right along with everyone else, blew out her candles-like she had done it a dozen times before! and clapped for herself-yay!  she was so happy to have her cake and all attention on her :)  Oh, how we love our baby girl!

Okay, I was going to write about the month of Febuary and then again about the month of March (which I cant believe is already over!) but then decided to post some pics over the last couple months and comment on them!  I havent been very good about getting the camera out-but have caught a few moments(a lot where taken with my camera phone actually)!  We have been busy, busy!  Spring is here which bring birthdays, sports, weddings, seems like tons of baby showers, escaping on the weekends up to our cabin, etc!!

To start off February Cody had a sleep study done.  They thought he needed his tonsils and adnoids out but everything came back great so we are thinking allergies are the culprit.  Time will tell I guess!  He did so good-he loved being hooked up to all that stuff...he said "Mommy, I feel like a robot. I'm charging up my super powers!" 

 Happy Birthday to ME!  We had a small get together at home-Brady surprised me with a dozen long stem roses in a beautiful vase , we enjoyed Thai take-out and some good wine!  It was a great birthday :)

End of Febraury we headed to Quincy for the weekend.  Cody participated in the Quincy Youth Wrestling Tournament.   He won his first, tied his second, and lost his third!  He was SO excited and did a great job....its a lot of work for these little kiddos!  He makes us so proud-such a good kid!

It was kinda funny, I saw 3 of my high school teachers!  It was fun-they loved seeing Cody!  For those locals that follow my blog-Mr. Clifton, Mr. Heikes, and Mr. Wallace are all coaches

These are all taken at a beach park in kirkland with my phone-the kids and I love this place on a hot summer day!  Kidd Valley is across the street so we play for a couple hours, go grab a cheeseburger and some onion rings-mmmm, makes for a great day! This day was not a hot summer day-kind of a cold, cloudy day, but the sun was shinning!!
